Beside your Spanish course, you will have plenty of time to explore Playa del Carmen and the beauty of Mexico. Our leisure and cultural activities are especially prepared for our language students. They will give you a chance to get to know the other students, Mexico and its culture. In addition you are likely to improve your Spanish skills during the activities, since you will be surrounded by people from all over the world that are all in Mexico to learn Spanish. Moreover, the trips to different places in Mexico will give you a good impression of Mexico and over the time you will grasp their culture and get a feeling for Mexican life.

Our leisure and cultural program is not obligatory, however, the activities complement the knowledge you acquired in your Spanish course. The program includes trips to monuments and places worth seeing in Playa del Carmen. For those of you who are keen on sports and want to explore the Caribbean feeling, professional dancing masters will show you some Hispanic salsa moves. The nice beaches in Playa del Carmen invite visitors to sunbathe and are often arena for legendary beach volleyball tournaments hosted by Academia Columbus. If you are interested in experiencing a fun Mexican tradition, you should attend a Mexican Fiesta, where you are served home-made Mexican food and fruity exotic cocktails.
